October reading calendars are due in on Monday. Our class goal was to read 7000 minutes and so far we are at 4945! Students who have brought in reading calendars received a ballot for every 50 minutes that they read, and on Tuesday next week a name will be drawn for our October winner. The winning student will be able to choose a book from the Scholastic catalogue to take home and keep. November reading calendars went home today - don't forget that every student should be reading at least 20 minutes every day! :)

On Tuesday next week we are having a candy exchange. Students can bring in Halloween candy to trade in for a healthy recess snack. The candy will be donated to Operation Christmas Child through the Samaritan's Purse. What a great way to be global citizens!
